Concorde

Sadly no longer in service, Concorde was undoubtedly one of the greatest success stories in the history of aviation. The project was orignated by an Anglo-French Government agreement which combined the building expertise of both the British Aircraft Corporation and Aerospatiale.
The aircraft was to debut in 1969 on a test flight and eventually made dual commercial debut flights in 1976 when the British Concorde flew from London to Bahrain and the French Concorde flew from Paris to New York.
The aircraft was to fly commercially for 27 years and made its final flight in 2003. The decline of the Concorde in part came down to economic reasons although the Aircraft's only crash in 2000 when a French Aircraft 'Air France Flight 4590' caught fire soon after take-off and crashed killing all people aboard and four people on the ground was also partly responsible.
