Pangaea
Pangaea - the Earth's continents originated from a single continental land mass known as Pangaea. Dating back around 250 Million Years ago it covered around one third of the total surface area of the Earth. The existence of Pangaea was first proposed in 1912 by the German meteorologist Alfred Wegener as a part of his theory of continental drift.
