London Olympic Stadium
London's Olympic Stadium - the centrepiece of the 2012 games. The emphasis of the London games is on future legacy and has such a functional stadium has been designed with the goal of future public use of the stadium for years to come. As such the stadium has been designed in a way which allows for easy customisation after the games to suit whatever new purpose awaits the stadium as opposed to being left with a huge 80,000 seat 'white elephant' after the games.
London-Aquatic-Centre
London's Aquatic Centre - the home during the games of the Swimming and diving events. The venue has a capacity of 17,500 and was designed by Zaha Hadid. The roof is 160m long and up to 80 m wide.
